group-peopleFollowing on from a rewarding and distinguished career with Barclays Bank Plc, Martin established Aston Change Limited in 2005 to fill a gap in the market for the provision of specialist knowledge and skills in the following Change Management activities:

  • Benefits Realisation Management
  • Business Case Management
  • Business Feasibility Studies – Both Strategic and Tactical
  • Business Transformational Change, including People Change and Cultural Change Management
  • Lean Process Improvement and Process Re-engineering
  • Value Chain and Performance Management – Both Business and Employee
  • Commercial and Business Improvement Management


Martin’s career has covered a number of industries and functions, where he has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience that he now brings to bear for the benefit of Aston Change and its clients. 

Martin’s early career was at Barclays Bank Plc where he worked in both Retail and Corporate Branch Banking based at various key provincial towns in the South East of England in roles such as Principal of Financial Services and Corporate Lending Manager, before he moved onto specialising in Change & Programme Management within Barclays in a variety of senior Head Office roles, including:

  • Business Case, Benefits Realisation and PMO Management roles within Small Business Banking
  • Head of Benefits Management, Strategy & Planning within Offshore Banking
  • Head of Benefits Realisation and Portfolio Change Management within Wealth Management and International Banking

After leaving Barclays Bank, Martin has provided consultancy, interim and contract management services to a number of clients in both the private and public sector, including central government, publishing and banking.  Key roles undertaken have been:
  • Benefits Realisation and Business Case Manager for the Online Publishing Programme at the Financial Times
  • Project Manager and Business Case Consultant for the Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA)
  • Senior Finance Business Partner for the Lean Barclays Programme within Barclays Retail Banking
  • Lean Programme Management Consultant Director for the Legal Services Commission (LSC)
  • Benefits Realisation Manager for the Ministry of Justice (MoJ)
  • Business Case Manager for the Ministry of Justice (MoJ)
  • Commercial and Business Performance Manager for the Ministry of Justice (MoJ)
  • Business Design Manager for the Ministry of Justice (MoJ)
