Services provided include the full end to end Business Case Management process, including the use of Aston Change Ltd’s tried and tested Business Case Management Methodology Framework incorporating the following:
Raising the profile of the programme / projects Business Case amongst the business and financial communities within the company / organisation, stressing the importance on focusing on the Business Case outcomes.
Working closely with the Programme / Project Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) to initially develop the outline of the change envisaged to shape the key aspects of the change into a high level strategic outline Business Case.
Creation of Business Cases in line with Treasury Green Book and the 5 Case Model and / or other industry best practice formats and requirements.
Taking the outputs of work undertaken in the early stages of Benefits Realisation Management and by working closely with the business and its impacted customers; develop a detailed Business Case Calculation Model. This is used extensively to develop scenarios and to test sensitivities.
At the outset of any programme or project, develop a detailed programme / project plan. It is important to put Business Case Checkpoint reviews into the plan that should align to the key milestones of the programme / project. This approach ensures fundamental governance control points to prevent the programme / project failing to achieve its Business Case and the realization of its planned benefits.
Working closely with the programme / project team, the SRO, business as usual & finance and Benefits Realisation Management, the Business Case is updated at each defined Checkpoint Review date, right through until the final Business Case update is completed as part of the Benefits Review following implementation of the piece of change.
